How can I live in a world with women insinuated that being beaten is okay as long as the man doing it the beating is attractive? I am so saddened by these tweets. The ignorance, the perpetuation of the poisonous idea that beating a woman isn’t so bad, and that she could even deserve it. No one deserves that! As a woman who has been in an abusive relationship, I feel sickened to read these posts lusting for abuse, even if they mean it to be humorous. What’s even more upsetting? I’m sure there are FAR more than 25 examples of this out there. What the fuck is wrong with the world when we are somehow teaching girls that it’s okay for someone to beat you so long as they’re attractive and (supposedly) talented? And what the fuck are we supposed to do to change it?
